A faculty member at the College of Veterinary Medicine at Al-Shatra University receives a PhD from Universiti Putra Malaysia

Dr. Ahmed Qasim Dawood, a lecturer at the College of Veterinary Medicine – Al-Shatra University, received his PhD in Veterinary Medicine from Universiti Putra Malaysia with his dissertation titled:

“Comparative Evaluation of Two Oral Contraceptive Baits on Reproductive Performance, Pharmacokinetics and Reversibility in Male and Female Sprague Dawley Rats.”

During his research career, Dr. Ahmed managed to publish several scientific studies in peer-reviewed international journals and conferences, focusing on the impact of contraceptive methods on reproduction and fertility in rodents. He also participated in several international scientific conferences in the field of veterinary pharmacology.

He also received the Top 10 Best Scientific Poster Presentation – 2025 award at the 35th Annual Conference of the Malaysian Veterinary Medical Association (MAVMA).

The Dean of the College of Veterinary Medicine – Al-Qadisiyah University extends its warmest congratulations to Dr. Ahmed Qasim Dawood, wishing him continued success and academic and scientific achievements.
