The Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Fadel Mohsen Hamad, received a delegation from the Holy Abbasia Shrine in his office On Monday morning, September 29, 2025, as part of the communication and coordination between the shrine and Iraqi universities to discuss the university's participation in the central graduation ceremony for students with disabilities.

In his speech, the Vice President for Scientific Affairs welcomed the visiting delegation, praising the generous initiative of the Shrine, saying: “Our university and its students are proud of this generous invitation, which reflects the Holy Abbasid Shrine's keenness to support science and students, and we will work to actively participate in this annual forum, which represents a bridge between academic institutions and religious and cultural authorities.”

For their part, the delegation from the Holy Abbasid Shrine emphasized that the university and its students occupy a distinguished position in the central ceremony, noting that the invitation is an expression of the shrine's appreciation for the leading role that universities play in shaping the future.
