The College of Veterinary Medicine discusses the master's thesis of student Safaa Abdel Jabh at the Microbiology Department.

Today, Thursday, July 30, 2026, the College of Veterinary Medicine at Al-Shatra University discussed the master's thesis submitted by student Safaa Abdul Jeij from the Microbiology Department, titled:

“Molecular Study of Some Virulence Genes of Salmonella Typhimurium Isolated from Pigeons.”

The study focused on investigating the prevalence of Salmonella Typhimurium bacteria isolated from pigeons, diagnosing them using traditional and molecular methods, identifying some virulence and antibiotic resistance genes, as well as assessing their resistance patterns and impact on public health.

After an in-depth discussion of the thesis topic and making some scientific adjustments recommended by the discussion committee, the thesis was accepted in recognition of the student's efforts.
