The College of Veterinary Medicine held a guidance seminar on electronic blackmail.

Organized by the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, the seminar took place on Monday, April 20, 2026.

The speakers, Assistant Lecturer Shifa Muhail Hilal and Ms. Rusul Ali, highlighted:

  • The concept of electronic blackmail.

  • Its causes and the most common methods targeting youth.

  • The psychological and social consequences that may result.

The seminar also provided important recommendations and guidelines to help students protect their personal data, as well as an introduction to the legal procedures to follow in case of exposure to blackmail.
