As part of the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week, the College of Veterinary Medicine at Al-Shatra University held a scientific symposium on Wednesday, February 11, 2026.
The symposium was entitled “Voluntary Organizations and Their Role in Establishing Sustainable Entrepreneurial Projects”, and was presented by Assistant Lecturer Haider Adnan Mousa (Head of the Echo of Change Voluntary Organization) and Assistant Lecturer Hussam Ali Majid.
The symposium addressed the role of volunteer work in supporting entrepreneurial projects and enhancing community initiative, as well as highlighting the impact of voluntary organizations in achieving sustainable development.
It included a presentation of the projects implemented by the Echo of Change Voluntary Organization, in addition to discussing prospects for joint cooperation between the organization and Al-Shatra University to support entrepreneurial projects and serve the community.
The symposium aimed to spread the culture of entrepreneurship and volunteerism among students, encouraging them to adopt creative ideas and transform them into practical projects that contribute to serving society, as well as strengthening partnerships between academic institutions and community organizations to support innovation and development.
At the conclusion of the symposium, the lecturers were honored in appreciation of their scientific efforts and active participation in the success of the Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week.
