As part of the Global Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week activities, the College of Veterinary Medicine at Al-Shatra University held a scientific symposium on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, attended by a number of faculty members and students.

The symposium was entitled “The Concept of Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Higher Education”, and was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Nada Kareem Abbas and Lecturer Dia Hazem Hamad. The symposium addressed the importance of instilling the concepts of entrepreneurship and innovation in educational institutions, and their role in preparing a generation with creative skills capable of keeping pace with scientific and technological developments.

The symposium aimed to spread the culture of entrepreneurship among students and researchers, encouraging them to adopt innovative ideas and transform them into practical projects that contribute to serving society, as well as enhancing the role of higher education in supporting sustainable development and building entrepreneurial capacities.
