As part of Entrepreneurship Week and stemming from the principle #YourIdeaIsIraqi_IraqInnovates, under the slogan “From the Land of Mesopotamia, Ideas Take Flight”, the College of Veterinary Medicine held a scientific seminar entitled “How to Establish a Successful Veterinary Project: Preparing the Study and Business Plan” on Tuesday, February 10, 2026.
The seminar aimed to shed light on the scientific and practical foundations for establishing successful veterinary projects, by introducing mechanisms for preparing economic feasibility studies and business plans that contribute to ensuring the sustainability and development of projects in line with labor market requirements.
The seminar was presented by Assistant Lecturer Mokhtar Jassim Nasser and Mr. Wathiq Saadi Daam, who reviewed the basic steps for planning veterinary projects, explained the importance of sound management and innovation in developing veterinary services, and discussed the main challenges that entrepreneurs in this field may face and ways to overcome them.
