The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine organized a training course entitled “The Veterinary Profession Between Animal Care and Community Service”, held in the college’s seminar hall from March 3, 2026 to March 5, 2026.
The course was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Nabil Mahdi Abd, Ms. Zainab Abdul Amir, and Ms. Naba Dakhel, and covered several topics including:
• Introduction to the veterinary profession.
• The general and behavioral objectives of the course.
• The veterinarian’s tasks and role in protecting animal wealth and serving the community.
The lectures also addressed the ethical principles of the veterinary profession, professional conduct of veterinarians, and the main pillars of professional ethics, with emphasis on the importance of adhering to scientific and humanitarian standards in dealing with animals and their owners.
