Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Bassem Abdul Hussein Jarallah, President of University of Shatrah , the Continuing Education Center at the university held an educational awareness seminar entitled “Mechanism for Receiving Newly Enrolled Students in Iraqi Universities to Build a Sustainable Environment” on Monday, October 13, 2025, in the Continuing Education Hall.

The seminar aimed to introduce new students to the mechanisms of registration and integration into university life, and to promote a culture of positive communication and university responsibility, thereby contributing to the building of a sustainable academic environment based on cooperation and belonging.

The seminar was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Hamid Alwan Katah, and moderated by asst. DR Nabil Jaleeb Hanoun. The seminar was attended by faculty members, university staff, and a group of new students, and included discussions and recommendations that focused on the importance of activating academic guidance programs and developing student support mechanisms in line with the requirements of the new university stage.
