Among scientific and research achievements, a research team from the Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, including (Assistant Professor. Ali Mohsen Ali, Asst .Dr. Hussein Ali Karim, Mr. Mustafa Karim Hassan) has successfully published a scientific research paper in the field of analytical chemistry and medical sciences entitled:

INVESTIGATION OF URINARY METABOLOMIC PROFILING FOLLOWING EXPOSURE TO ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION-A BY USING LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY-MASS SPECTROMETRY (LC-MS)

in the International Journal of Applied Pharmaceutics, which is classified in the second quartile (Q2) and indexed in the global databases Scopus and Clarivate.

The study addressed the effect of ultraviolet radiation-A (UVA) on human urinary metabolism using modern LC-MS techniques, focusing on metabolic changes that may constitute new biomarkers for predicting the health effects of sun exposure.

The results concluded that these metabolites could be adopted as important biomarkers in the fields of public health and prevention of diseases associated with UV exposure.

This achievement confirms the commitment of researchers at University of Shatrah to supporting rigorous scientific research and actively contributing to the development of scientific solutions to health challenges, thereby enhancing the university's standing in both academic and research circles.
