About the Information Technology Division | College of Engineering

The Information Technology Division was established with the founding of the College of Engineering in 2023. It is one of the most important divisions in the college because of its great impact on the work of the institution in light of the technological development the world is currently witnessing. The division has provided many services to the college

• Holding workshops and courses on operating, installing and maintaining computers and their peripherals, and on service, scientific, engineering and administrative programs and various software systems in the fields of information technology, computing and networks.

• Designing, developing and managing the website.

• Providing all faculty members, technicians and students with university email accounts.

For the college to be a centre of outstanding scientific creativity and innovation to improve the quality of education at the university by providing an advanced technological environment and using advanced electronic programs

Mission

The division strives for digital transformation in order to provide electronic services to the staff and students of the college, which improves the performance of the educational institution, speeds up the completion of work and ensures easy communication with everyone .

Objectives

1. Preparing qualified technical staff to carry out the administrative work required in public state institutions and the private sector.

2. Working on computer programs and applications within state institutions and the private sector.

3. Preparing and running programs according to the needs of the scientific and administrative departments.

4. Maintaining and programming computers.

5. Relying on modern curricula in training students, such as using Office 2010 applications.

6. Installing and maintaining communication networks.

7. For the Information Technology Division to be distinguished in its field of specialisation in a way that meets the needs of the community.

8- Qualifying individuals according to the requirements of the labour market.
