Accessibility Statement

The University of Shatra aims to make its website available to everyone, including people with disabilities, older people and those who use assistive technology. We take the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, as the goal we are working towards.

What we provide

• An accessibility tool at the corner of the page: larger text, high contrast, underlined links and reduced motion.
• Two display modes: light and dark.
• The website in Arabic and English, each with the correct writing direction.
• Well-ordered headings that help screen readers, and we aim to keep the main elements reachable with the keyboard.
• Text alternatives for images in new content, which we are completing for older content.

What we are improving

Some content moved from the old website may contain images without a text alternative, or scanned PDF files that screen readers cannot read. We are reviewing them step by step.

Tell us about any barrier

If you have difficulty using any part of the website, tell us through the Contact page and describe the page and the problem. We will work to fix it or to provide the content in another way.
