The Metallurgy Laboratory is one of the College's core laboratories, providing an educational and applied environment that helps students understand metallurgical properties and the behaviour of different materials through laboratory experiments and tests. The laboratory strengthens the practical side of the curricula and links theoretical concepts with engineering applications.
The laboratory enables students to become familiar with types of metals and their alloys and to study their mechanical, physical and metallurgical properties, as well as to carry out tests and experiments relating to the microstructure of metals, heat treatment processes and materials testing. It also helps develop students' skills in using laboratory instruments and equipment, and in analysing and interpreting results on scientific and engineering foundations.
The Metallurgy Laboratory is an important space for developing students' practical and research skills, giving them the experience needed to handle metallic materials and apply the knowledge they have acquired in various engineering and industrial fields
