Privacy Policy
The University of Shatra respects the privacy of everyone who visits its website. This page explains what data we collect, why, how we protect it, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- What you send yourself: your name, email address, phone number and message when you use the contact form, a form, a service request or an activity registration.
- Network address (IP): we do not keep it as it is. We keep an irreversible scrambled value of it, used only to detect abuse and repeated messages.
- Aggregate visit statistics: how many times each page is opened per day, not linked to any person or device.
How we use the data
We use what you send only to reply to you and to handle your request. We do not sell or rent data and we do not share it with advertisers. Staff of the relevant unit inside the University (a college, a centre or a department) may read it so that they can reply.
How long we keep it
Messages and requests are kept for as long as they are needed to handle them and for ordinary administrative purposes. You may ask us to delete them at any time.
Protecting the data
The website works over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Only authorised staff can read what you send, according to their permissions, and sign-ins and edits in the control panel are logged.
Services from other parties
When you play a YouTube video or open a Google map on our pages, the material is loaded from those parties and is subject to their policies. We may also use Cloudflare Turnstile on forms to prevent automated submissions.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete your data. Send your request through the Contact page and we will reply.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when what we do changes. The date of the last update appears at the bottom of the page.
