Message from the Supervisor
Sustainable development is an international economic, social and environmental term with which the United Nations has drawn up a roadmap for environmental, social and economic development worldwide. Its aims are:
- Improving the living conditions of every member of society and addressing inequality
- Developing the means and methods of production in ways that do not harm the environment
- Keeping the environment clean, including air, soil and water
- Living in peace with all creatures on earth and rejecting wars
- Using clean, renewable energy and reducing the use of fossil fuels
- Combating global warming and climate change and reducing the emissions that cause them; not depleting the Earth's natural resources so as not to burden the planet beyond its capacity, and not depriving future generations of these resources, which means meeting the needs of the present generation without infringing on the rights of future generations and without overusing the natural resources remaining on our planet
