University of Shatrah dedicates its efforts to supporting visitors of the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him)

As part of commemorating the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) and recalling its religious, humanitarian and national values, the University of Shatrah dedicated all its service and logistical capabilities to serving the crowds of visitors walking on foot towards holy Karbala, in one of the largest spiritual occasions in the world.

This initiative came under the patronage of the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah, and under the supervision of the Assistant Presidents for Administrative and Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Raed Majeed Jabbar and Prof. Dr. Fadhil Muhsin Hamad, with the participation of the University's teaching staff and employees. The University mobilised its service teams, foremost among them the staff of the Diwan Affairs Department, to carry out a wide campaign that included distributing water and food to the visitors.

This step is part of the University's approach to consolidating the principle of "the university in the service of the community", and is a practical expression of the values of altruism and solidarity, in harmony with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and in loyalty to the deep humanitarian and spiritual legacy represented by Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
