The President of the University of Shatrah, Prof. Dr. (Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah), received in his office today, Tuesday, 14/5/2024, the media staff of the Dhi Qar Oil Company, headed by Mr. (Ali Al-Ghazi).
During the visit, a press interview was conducted with the President of the University for the programme (Community Contributions) – produced by the Dhi Qar Oil Company to present the projects and support that the Dhi Qar Oil Company has contributed to the University of Shatrah for the restoration and rehabilitation of the University's buildings.
The President of the University explained that the Dhi Qar Oil Company has left an effective investment imprint from the beginning of the University's establishment, in the current and future reconstruction process and in providing financial support, and that there will be future cooperation should a College of Mining, Oil and Gas be opened at the University of Shatrah.
For his part, Mr. (Ali Al-Ghazi) affirmed that the company has investment plans and joint projects with the University and is able to provide appropriate funding for these projects to create positive economic and social growth through their development, in order to create a supportive and welcoming environment for all students, faculty members and employees.
At the end of the visit, the President of the University expressed his thanks and gratitude to the Dhi Qar Oil Company for its continued provision of financial and investment support, which gives the University the ability to reach and significantly influence the process of change and prosperity in the educational reality at all levels; perhaps most important are the challenges and opportunities that strongly affect the role of universities and their responsibility in society.
