The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, received in his office the President of the University of Shatrah, Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah, in the presence of the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Raed Majeed Jabbar, and the Secretary of the University Council, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rafi Muhsin, to discuss a number of academic, scientific and administrative files and the University's future plans.
During the meeting, the Minister affirmed his great interest in the University of Shatrah and its emerging colleges, expressing his readiness to remove obstacles and address issues requiring his direct intervention, in a way that serves students and members of the teaching staff.
The meeting addressed ways of supporting the University in the areas of infrastructure, the establishment of colleges and academic departments, and the provision of qualified teaching staff, thereby strengthening the University's academic and community role in Dhi Qar Governorate.
For his part, the President of the University of Shatrah commended Minister Al-Aboudi's efforts in supporting newly established universities and responding quickly to their needs, reviewing the most notable achievements of the University since its establishment in 2023. He also expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister for his continuous support and his keenness to strengthen the University's standing at the academic, scientific and administrative levels.
