The Central Academic Promotions Division at the University of Shatrah organised a workshop entitled “The Electronic Platform for Academic Promotions” in the Continuing Education Hall, attended by the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs and the deans of the colleges, today, Thursday, 11 September 2025.
The workshop was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hussein Yousif Al-Rikabi, Asst. Prof. Dr. Muslim Dhahir Musa and Professor Munther Kamil Awda of the Southern Technical University / Medical Technical Institute, who gave a detailed explanation of how the electronic platform works and its role in facilitating academic promotion procedures and ensuring transparency and accuracy in the completion of academic transactions.
The workshop targeted the chairs and members of the central and sub-committees for promotions and the heads of academic departments. It focused on clarifying the core tasks and the mechanisms of electronic follow-up, thereby contributing to raising the efficiency of academic performance and enhancing the quality of scientific outputs.
In his speech, the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs stressed the importance of the workshop in keeping pace with digital developments in the management of academic promotions, noting that the University is keen to adopt modern technical tools that serve the teaching staff and speed up their academic procedures.
