Today, Tuesday, 23 September 2025, the President of the University of Shatrah, Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah, received a delegation of the Sadiqoon Movement in Dhi Qar Governorate, which offered congratulations to the University Presidency and its staff on the start of the new academic year.
In a speech during the reception, the President of the University expressed his thanks and appreciation to the visiting delegation, affirming that the new academic year represents an important milestone for strengthening the academic and research journey, and stressing the University's commitment to providing an integrated educational environment that serves both students and society.
For his part, the head of the delegation, Yaqoob Al-Rumaidh, conveyed the congratulations of the Sadiqoon Movement to the University Presidency, the teaching staff and the students, commending the efforts made to advance the educational situation in Dhi Qar Governorate and expressing his support for and appreciation of the University's endeavours to develop its scientific and administrative capacities.
This visit comes as an affirmation of the importance of cooperation between academic and community institutions, so as to strengthen the University's role in serving development and education in the governorate.
