University of Shatrah Participates in the Proceedings of the Iraq Education Conference 2025
The University of Shatrah participated in the proceedings of the second edition of the Iraq Education Conference 2025, which was opened by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, with the participation of international experts and representatives of Times, Clarivate, Elsevier, QS and the Egyptian Knowledge Bank.
The University's delegation was headed by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah, and included the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Fadhil Muhsin Hamad, and the Director of the Quality Assurance Department, Lect. Dr. Haider Sabah.
In his speech, the Minister affirmed that Iraqi universities have entered a new stage of achievement and leadership, and that the transformations witnessed by higher education represent a qualitative leap towards international recognition and global academic competitiveness, noting that the Ministry will continue to strengthen international partnerships and expand opportunities for scientific cooperation.
The Iraq Education Conference 2025 embodies the vision of the Ministry of Higher Education in supporting innovation and internationalisation and strengthening the position of Iraqi universities in global rankings and reputable research databases.
On the sidelines of the conference, universities distinguished in scientific publication in various specialisations were honoured, and Clarivate also honoured researchers whose research published in its databases achieved the highest numbers of scientific citations.
