Continuing Education Centre Holds an Educational Awareness Seminar Entitled "The Mechanism for Receiving New Students"

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah, President of the University of Shatrah, the University's Continuing Education Centre held an educational awareness seminar entitled "The Mechanism for Receiving Newly Registered Students in Iraqi Universities to Build a Sustainable Environment" on Monday, 13 October 2025, in the Continuing Education Hall.

The seminar aimed to introduce new students to the mechanisms of registration and integration into university life, and to promote a culture of positive communication and university responsibility, thereby contributing to building a sustainable academic environment based on cooperation and belonging.

The seminar was presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Hamid Alwan Kati and moderated by Asst. Lect. Nabil Jleeb Hanoon. It saw distinguished attendance from the University's faculty members and staff and a group of new students, and included discussions and recommendations focusing on the importance of activating academic counselling programmes and developing student support mechanisms in keeping with the requirements of the new university stage.
