The Assistant President of the University of Shatrah for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Fadhil Muhsin Hamad, held a meeting with the Associate Deans for Scientific Affairs of the University's colleges on Tuesday, 28 October 2025, in his office, in the presence of the Director of the Department of Postgraduate Studies Affairs
During the meeting, the attendees discussed a number of important themes, most notably the regulations for granting study leave for the 2026/2027 academic year, based on the Instructions for Study Leave within Iraq No. (165) of 2011, as well as the University's five-year plan for the needs of its formations for postgraduate studies within Iraq.
The meeting also reviewed the research plan for the 2024/2025 academic year and ways of developing scientific research in the University's colleges, stressing the importance of increasing the University's stock of scientific research published in international databases such as Scopus and Clarivate.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Dr. Fadhil Muhsin stressed the need to strengthen cooperation between colleges and scientific departments to ensure the implementation of strategic plans that contribute to raising the academic and research level of the University of Shatrah.
