On Monday, 3 November 2025, the University of Shatrah organised a workshop entitled "The Research Plan Platform", under the supervision of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Fadhil Muhsin Hamad.
The workshop was moderated by Lecturer Mohammed Muhsin Aziz, while the lecture was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ali Saihood of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics – University of Dhi Qar.
The workshop aimed to introduce the mechanism for using the Research Plan Platform and to explain its importance in organising and following up research projects within the University, thereby contributing to developing academic and research performance on modern scientific and digital foundations.
In his speech, the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs affirmed the keenness of the University Presidency to adopt sound scientific initiatives that contribute to raising the level of scientific research, and to provide technical tools that enable researchers to prepare their research plans accurately and in an organised manner.
For his part, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ali Saihood gave a detailed presentation on how to use the platform, explaining the basic steps for entering data and following up the progress of research, along with reviewing the main technical features and services that the platform provides to researchers and supervisors.
It is worth mentioning that the platform was designed by the College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Dhi Qar and was provided free of charge to the University of Shatrah within the framework of cooperation between higher education institutions, thereby strengthening scientific progress and contributing to building effective academic partnerships and the exchange of specialised expertise.
This workshop comes within a series of workshops on the applications of the scientific research platform at the University of Shatrah.
