On the morning of Monday, 17 November 2025, the Department of Administrative and Financial Affairs / the Permanent Sub-Committee for Document Preservation organised a specialised workshop entitled: “The Guidance Manual for the Instructions on Document Preservation in the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, No. (4) of 2024)”, in the Discussions Hall. The lecturer was Asst. Prof. Dr. Muntadhar Faisal Kadhim, and it was moderated by Asst. Lect. Nabil Talib Hanoon.
The workshop reviewed the main themes of the manual and the mechanisms for adopting it in the University's formations, shedding light on the latest administrative practices in the fields of preservation and documentation.
The workshop aimed to enhance institutional awareness of the classification and documentation mechanisms adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and to consolidate a culture of administrative record-keeping in accordance with modern systems that ensure the protection, organisation and efficient retrieval of official documents.
The workshop saw broad attendance from staff of the administrative departments and the various centres and units, and a number of observations and practical procedures relating to classification mechanisms were discussed. These discussions contributed to putting forward practical visions that would develop the archiving and document preservation system within the University
