The University of Shatrah Council held its fourth session for the 2025–2026 academic year, chaired by Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah, today, Tuesday, 25 November 2025, in the presence of the members of the esteemed Council.
The Council discussed a number of items on its agenda relating to the development of the University's academic and institutional performance, as well as continuing efforts at the scientific and administrative levels by promoting scientific publication in international journals and focusing on choosing topics that keep pace with scientific progress and the needs of society, in addition to continuing efforts to keep pace with digital transformation. The President of the University also stressed the adoption of the criteria of competence and specialisation in assigning administrative tasks within the University's formations.
The session concluded with the President of the University stressing the need to unify efforts and intensify institutional work to achieve the University's strategic goals in the fields of education, scientific research and community service, so as to consolidate its standing among advanced Iraqi universities.
