On Thursday, 4 January 2025, the President of the University of Shatrah, Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah, visited the engineering workshops and practical laboratories of the College of Engineering as part of an inspection tour to review the state of the technical capabilities and equipment used in training students. He was received by the Dean of the College, Asst. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Jabbar Hayawi, and a number of heads of departments and workshop supervisors.
During the tour, the President of the University listened to a detailed explanation of the nature of the work inside the workshops and the mechanisms for training students on modern devices and machines, praising the efforts made to develop the educational and professional environment in line with the requirements of the labour market.
He also stressed the importance of providing the best training conditions for students so as to enhance their applied skills, directing that training programmes inside the workshops continue to be strengthened and that work efficiency be raised in a way that serves the scientific progress of the College and the University.
