The President of the University of Shatrah, Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah, chaired an expanded meeting of the committee supervising evening studies at the University, in the presence of the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Raed Majeed Jabbar, the committee rapporteur, Lecturer Naeem Hameed Mahood, Director of Financial and Administrative Affairs, and the committee members, comprising the Director of the Department of Student Affairs and the rapporteurs of the student affairs units in the colleges.
The meeting discussed the start of the new academic year and reviewed the numbers of students admitted to evening study programmes, as well as the newly established departments in the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences and the College of Fine Arts as new academic additions this year, along with following up the newly established scientific departments in the University's other colleges.
The committee also discussed mechanisms for monitoring the fund's revenues and investing them optimally, so as to support the educational process, provide the requirements of evening study programmes and enhance the quality of services provided to students, in line with the University's orientation towards building a sound educational environment that supports academic development.
