The University of Shatrah participated in the central graduation ceremony for students of Iraqi universities held by the Holy Abbasid Shrine under the slogan “From the Rain of Karbala, Giving Grows”, with the participation of about five thousand students representing 75 public and private universities from various governorates of Iraq.
Students of the College of Veterinary Medicine took part in the ceremony, headed by the Associate Dean for Scientific Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Dhurgham Al-Hassan, where the students took the graduation oath in the courtyard of Imam Abu Al-Fadl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) in a spiritual and patriotic atmosphere embodying their commitment to the mission of knowledge and to serving the homeland with sincerity and integrity.
In a statement on this participation, the President of the University of Shatrah, Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah, expressed his pride in the participation of the University's students in this distinguished national event, congratulating them on this achievement and wishing them an honourable academic future that contributes to serving Iraq, and extending his thanks and appreciation to the Holy Abbasid Shrine for its great efforts in organising the annual ceremony.
It is worth mentioning that the Holy Abbasid Shrine organises this ceremony annually to honour graduates, to present a model befitting university students, and to crown their educational journey in the precincts of the holy shrines, reflecting the status of knowledge and its role in building the future of Iraq
