The President of the University of Shatrah, Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah, today, Sunday 4 January 2026, offered his congratulations to the Governor of Dhi Qar, Mr. Haitham Al-Hamdani, on assuming his duties as Governor of Dhi Qar, during an official visit to the Governorate Office building, accompanied by the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Raed Majeed Jabbar, and in the presence of Member of Parliament Ola Odah Al-Nashi.
For his part, the Governor expressed his appreciation for the visit, stressing the importance of the scientific role played by the university and his keenness to consolidate the partnership with academic institutions to serve the people of Dhi Qar.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for joint cooperation between the University of Shatrah and the local government, particularly in the areas of supporting service and educational projects and exchanging academic expertise, so as to contribute to promoting development within the province.
This visit comes within the framework of strengthening communication and integration between the university and the local government, and supporting efforts aimed at improving the service and development situation in the province.
