The Assistant President of the University of Shatrah for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Raed Majeed Jabbar, representing the President of the University, took part in the central ceremony held by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on the occasion of National Holy Qur'an Day, in the presence of His Excellency the Prime Minister, Mr. Mohammed Shia' Al-Sudani, a number of ministers, university presidents, and academic and religious figures.
This participation affirms the University of Shatrah's keenness to engage with national and religious occasions of moral and cultural significance, and to support the message of the Holy Qur'an in promoting the principles of moderation, building the human being and consolidating moral and scientific values in the university community.
The ceremony praised the role played by educational institutions, especially universities, in spreading Qur'anic culture and linking academic knowledge with lofty human values, so as to contribute to building an aware and cohesive society.
During his participation, Prof. Dr. Raed Majeed Jabbar affirmed that the University of Shatrah attaches great importance to scientific and cultural activities that strengthen national and religious identity, in line with the directions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in supporting programmes aimed at serving the community and consolidating authentic values.
