The President of the University of Shatrah, Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Al-Ghazi, received in his office today, Wednesday 25 February 2025, Mr. Hussein Al-Musawi, Head of the Husseini Rites and Processions Unit in Al-Shatrah District.
The meeting discussed ways of strengthening joint cooperation between the university and the Husseini Rites and Processions Unit, particularly with regard to holding cultural and awareness activities that help consolidate religious and national values and strengthen the spirit of belonging and community service, as well as discussing humanitarian initiatives aimed at helping needy students in evening studies and providing them with the necessary support to complete their education.
For his part, the President of the University welcomed the visit, affirming the university's keenness to build bridges of communication with the various institutions and community bodies in Al-Shatrah District, in line with its academic mission and its pioneering role in serving the community, and noting the importance of joining efforts to support needy students and provide them with a suitable environment to continue their studies.
For his part, Mr. Hussein Al-Musawi appreciated the warm reception, praising the role played by the university in supporting community initiatives, and affirming the readiness of the Husseini Rites and Processions Unit to cooperate in everything that serves students, particularly initiatives to help needy students in evening studies and to strengthen the bonds of social solidarity in the public interest.
