The President of the University of Shatrah, Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah, received in his office today, Monday 30 March 2026, on an official visit, a delegation from Imam Al-Kadhim (peace be upon him) College of Islamic Sciences – Dhi Qar Departments, headed by the Associate Dean, Asst. Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Jaleel Jarrad Al-Fadhli, in the presence of the Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Raed Majeed Jabbar.
The meeting discussed prospects for scientific and cultural cooperation between the two sides and ways of developing academic partnerships and exchanging expertise, as well as stressing the importance of organising joint scientific activities and events that help improve the educational and research process.
The meeting also included the presentation of an official invitation to the President of the University to attend the Fourth International Scientific Conference held by Imam Al-Kadhim (peace be upon him) College – Dhi Qar Departments, under the slogan: (Knowledge Innovation and the Integration of Sciences to Achieve Sustainable Development), which addresses a number of important themes, most notably knowledge integration between the humanities and applied sciences, and the role of artificial intelligence in supporting sustainable development pathways.
At the end of the meeting, the two sides affirmed their keenness to strengthen the bonds of joint cooperation, so as to support the scientific process and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
