The President of the University of Shatrah, Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Al-Ghazi, received in his office today, Monday 12 April 2026, Dr. Ahmed Abdul-Hussein Atiyah Al-Abadi, subspecialist in oncology, endocrinology and haematology at Al-Habboubi Hospital / Nasiriyah.
The meeting discussed ways of strengthening cooperation between the University of Shatrah and health institutions, particularly in medical fields and subspecialties, so as to support the scientific and research side and exchange expertise between academics and specialist physicians.
The President of the University stressed the importance of openness to advanced medical expertise and benefiting from it in developing educational and research programmes, which will have a positive impact on serving the community and raising the standard of health.
For his part, Dr. Al-Abadi expressed his thanks and appreciation for the warm welcome, praising the University of Shatrah's role in supporting the scientific process and strengthening cooperation with health institutions in the public interest.
