In a distinguished scientific achievement adding to the record of academic publications at the University of Shatrah, Lecturer Dr. Sadiq Yousif Khalaf of the Legal Affairs Department – University Presidency has published a new scientific book entitled: “Criminal Policy for Combating Communicable Diseases”, which runs to 602 medium-format pages and is considered one of the pioneering publications in criminal policy.
The book presents a sound study of criminal policy in confronting communicable diseases, through a careful analysis of the concept of these diseases and their legal and medical dimensions, as well as how criminal legislation deals with them, whether in terms of prevention, treatment or procedures.
For his part, the President of the University of Shatrah, Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Al-Ghazi, praised this important scientific achievement, affirming the university's continuous support for distinguished academic output that contributes to developing the educational process and raising the scientific and research level in Iraqi higher education institutions.
