President of the University Receives Provincial Council Member Murtadha Al-Saeedi to Discuss Ways of Joint Cooperation

The President of the University of Shatrah, Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah, received in his office today, Wednesday 20 May 2026, Mr. Murtadha Al-Saeedi, member of the Dhi Qar Provincial Council.

The meeting discussed a number of issues of common interest, foremost among them the development of the College of Education in Al-Dawaia District and work on opening new academic departments, so as to strengthen the academic situation and meet the needs of students in the area.

The meeting also addressed the acquisition of the ten-dunam plot allocated by the district municipality, with the aim of using it for future expansions of the university's educational and service projects.

The two sides stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation and joint coordination between the university and the local government, in the service of the educational process and in support of development projects in Dhi Qar Province.
