The central committee tasked with preparing the job description guide and the rules of governance and staffing management at the University of Shatrah held its first meeting, chaired by Prof. Dr. Raed Majeed Jabbar, Assistant President for Administrative Affairs, and attended by all committee members from among the academic, legal and administrative staff, to draw up the roadmap for this strategic organisational project.
During the meeting, the committee chair stressed that the guide will serve as a binding reference document aimed at institutionalising administrative work and precisely defining powers, so as to prevent overlapping tasks and limit personal discretion across all the university's colleges and centres, in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The meeting also included an in-depth review of the governing Iraqi legislation and instructions in force, and of the mechanisms for strategic planning of staffing and the job budget, by matching the approved staffing structure against actual staffing in order to identify and address gaps of shortage or surplus personnel. The committee concluded its meeting by approving the general structure of the guide and distributing tasks among sub-teams to collect legal and statistical data from all units within a set timeframe that ensures the quality and soundness of the university's organisational outputs.
