The President of the University of Shatrah, Professor Dr. Bassem Abdul Hussein Al-Ghazi, received in his office today, Tuesday, October 6, 2026, Professor Abbas Fadel Al-Saeedi, head of the Department of Victims of the Regime and the Popular Mobilization Forces in the Dhi Qar Martyrs Directorate, and Professor Hussein Duwayj Al-Jabri, Director of the North Nasiriyah Martyrs Office.
During the meeting, ways to enhance cultural and scientific cooperation between the University of Shatrah and the Dhi Qar Martyrs Directorate were discussed, in a way that contributes to developing areas of joint work and exchanging experiences and knowledge.
The meeting also discussed the Baath Victims curriculum scheduled to be taught in Iraqi universities, discussed mechanisms for supporting it, and introduced students to the positions and sacrifices made by the Iraqi people during that era.
The President of the University stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation with the institutions concerned with the martyrs’ file, in a way that preserves national memory and enhances awareness among university generations.
