A training course on the basics of laboratory safety and security

The Continuing Education Unit at the College of Veterinary Medicine - University of Shatrah, in cooperation with the University’s Continuing Education Center, held a training course entitled “Basics of Chemical, Biological, and Radiological Safety and Security in Research Laboratories,” on Monday and Tuesday, September 28-29, 2026.

The course included scientific lectures presented by Prof. Dr. Dargham Ali Hassan and M.M. Al-Zahraa Al-Batoul Ibrahim discussed the foundations of safety and security within research laboratories and methods of safely dealing with laboratory risks.

The course aimed to enhance awareness of laboratory safety and security principles and raise the level of knowledge of preventive measures, and targeted graduate students and workers in research laboratories.
