A Lecturer at the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences, University of Shatrah, Takes Part in the Al-Noor International Qur'anic Competition for Students of Iraqi Universities
Lecturer Dr. Ali Hussein Ali, a lecturer at the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences / University of Shatrah, took part in the Al-Noor International Qur'anic Competition for students of Iraqi universities, organised by the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Apparatus – Student Activities Department of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and hosted by Al-Ameed University, with the participation of (49) Iraqi universities from various governorates.
The opening ceremony was attended by a wide official presence, represented by a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, a delegation from the Scientific Complex of the Holy Qur'an at the Holy Abbasid Shrine, as well as the Presidency of Al-Ameed University and a number of representatives of the participating universities, in a spiritual and cultural atmosphere that embodied the spirit of honest competition among students in the fields of memorisation, recitation and interpretation.
The University of Shatrah was represented in this competition by a delegation headed by Lecturer Dr. Ali Hussein Ali, which included the student Mohammed Ridha Qasim and the student Karrar Tawfiq Lateef from the College of Engineering.
In a speech on this occasion, the head of the delegation, Lecturer Dr. Ali Hussein Ali, affirmed that the University of Shatrah's participation in this Qur'anic event is in line with the University's orientation towards supporting Qur'anic and cultural activities that contribute to developing students' religious and intellectual awareness, praising the efforts of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Al-Ameed University in organising the competition in a way that strengthens Qur'anic values and consolidates the national and human identity of the students of Iraqi universities.
