The Council of the College of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at the University of Shatrah held its first session of the 2025-2026 academic year, chaired by Prof. Dr. Imad Kadhim Yasser, Dean of the College, and attended by the Associate Deans and the heads of the academic branches, to discuss preparations for the coming academic year and plans for developing the educational process.
During the meeting, the Council addressed a number of key topics, most notably the mechanisms for organising the tests and ensuring their smooth running, the level of preparations for receiving new students, and the formation of test committees and the precise definition of their tasks. The updating of curricula in line with the requirements of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research was also discussed, along with the organisation of administrative and academic commencements and assignments so as to ensure the smooth flow of work.
The Dean of the College stressed the importance of integrating the efforts of the academic departments and administrative units to provide a solid learning environment that contributes to preparing qualified sports and academic cadres capable of serving the community and strengthening the University's standing in the scientific and sporting fields.
