The College of Fine Arts began admission test procedures for students applying for direct admission for the 2025-2026 academic year today, Monday 22 September 2025, with (20) male and female students taking part in the first round, distributed between the Department of Visual Arts and the Department of Theatre Arts.
The Dean of the College, Dr. Yasser Al-Barrak, explained that the test was conducted in two stages: the first included a written test in general and artistic knowledge for both departments of the College, while the second stage included practical tests. For applicants to the Department of Visual Arts these comprised a free drawing test and a still-life drawing test, while applicants to the Department of Theatre Arts performed an acting scene from a world play, as well as a mime scene and the recitation of a poem of classical (vertical) verse.
Al-Barrak stressed that these tests aim to discover students' talents and artistic abilities and to select those qualified to begin their academic journey in the College, in line with its mission of preparing a new generation of creative artists in the fields of the arts.
