Ur Journal for Humanities issues the fifth number of its second year, continuing its distinguished academic path

Under the generous patronage of the President of the University of Shatrah, Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah, and with the direct support of the Dean of the College of Education for Girls, Prof. Dr. Afrah Abd Maktouf, Ur Journal for Humanities has issued the fifth number of its second year, for September 2025, containing forty-four peer-reviewed scientific papers on diverse topics across the various fields of the humanities.

This issue continues a flourishing scientific path that the journal has charted since its founding, and is in line with the orientation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research towards supporting and establishing peer-reviewed academic journals in Iraqi universities. This achievement embodies the fruit of continuous efforts by the Deanship of the College and the Editorial Board to advance scientific activity and attract research talent from inside and outside Iraq, thereby strengthening the University's presence on the Arab and international academic scene.

The journal is headed by Prof. Dr. Afrah Abd Maktouf, and the post of Managing Editor is held by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hassan Qasim. The Editorial Board includes a select group of distinguished academics from inside and outside Iraq, representing prestigious scientific institutions in Arab and foreign countries, which gives the journal a solid international dimension and consolidates its standing in the field of scientific research.

The Deanship of the College of Education for Girls affirms that Ur Journal for Humanities represents a high academic platform contributing to the dissemination of sound humanistic thought, and aspires to consolidate its position among distinguished scientific journals locally and internationally, inviting researchers to enrich it with their original research and intellectual contributions.
