Dr. Hazim Mohammed Najm is an Assistant Professor of Modern Arabic Literature. He holds an MA degree from Al al-Bayt University in Jordan, with a thesis entitled “The Child in Contemporary Iraqi Poetry,” and a PhD degree from Ferdowsi University in Iran, with a dissertation entitled “The Poetics of Space in the Poetry of Khazal Al-Majidi.” He has more than 23 years of academic and university teaching experience. He has published eleven research papers in peer-reviewed local academic journals. He has supervised numerous undergraduate research projects and delivered lectures and participated in academic seminars at several universities. His research interests focus on modern Arabic literature, contemporary poetry, and literary criticism.
