Under the patronage of the President of the University of Shatrah (Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah) and the supervision of the Assistant President for Scientific Affairs (Asst. Prof. Dr. Fadhil Muhsin Hamad), the University's Computer Centre conducted the first trial of the national Arabic language test on Sunday 24 November 2024 for students applying for postgraduate studies.
The Assistant President for Scientific Affairs said that this procedure comes in implementation of the University's vision of the need to complete the requirements of the development and research centres at the University in order to advance the educational situation in the governorate, with the Computer Centre having completed all electronic and logistical preparations to conduct the national tests in Arabic language and computer. The University of Shatrah has thus become one of the first universities in Iraq to conduct the national test, in addition to the continuation of the national English language test.
The Director of the University's Computer Centre (Asst. Lect. Samee Sakban Abd) explained that the Centre's staff had, during the previous period, completed preparations for conducting the national test, especially equipping the test halls and the technical connection with the Ministry's central system, as well as increasing capacity to more than 50 examinees per test, and work is under way to increase the number further in the coming period by equipping new test halls with new technical specifications.
This comes as part of the services provided by the Computer Centre at the University of Shatrah to students from the governorate and from other governorates who intend to apply for postgraduate studies and complete its requirements.
