Dean of the College of Education for Girls / University of Shatrah, Chairman of the Master’s Thesis Discussion Committee at Dhi Qar University.
Within the framework of strengthening scientific and academic cooperation between Iraqi universities, Professor Dr. Afrah Abd Maktuf Al-Ghazi, Dean of the College of Education for Girls / University of Shatrah, participated in her capacity as Chairman of the committee discussing the master’s thesis of the researcher (Safaa Abbas Tarish), in the Department of Animal Production / College of Agriculture and Marshlands - University of Dhi Qar, for her thesis tagged:
“Declaration of the health and biochemical status of common carp fish cultured in floating cages at different densities.”
This is on Sunday, 8/16/2026.
The discussion committee consisted of the following professors:

The thesis dealt with a scientific study of the health status and biochemical indicators of common carp fish farmed in floating cages, under different culture densities, with the aim of demonstrating the effect of density on the health and biochemical indicators of the fish.
The discussion session witnessed an extensive scientific dialogue that addressed the topic of the thesis with research and analysis. The committee discussed the axes, methodology and results of the study, and presented a set of solid scientific observations and recommendations that contributed to enriching the research and enhancing its scientific value.
At the conclusion of the discussion, and after the researcher defended her thesis, the discussion committee recommended accepting the thesis and granting the researcher a master’s degree with distinction (with distinction).
This scientific participation comes as confirmation of the distinguished academic presence of the College of Education for Girls / University of Shatrah, and its keenness to enhance scientific communication, active participation in academic committees and discussions, and exchange of experiences between Iraqi universities.
