Department of Biology Holds Its Annual Festival of Academic Activities.

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Shatrah, Prof. Dr. Basim Abdul-Hussein Jarallah,

and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Girls, Prof. Dr. Afrah Abd Maktouf,

and organised and followed up by the Head of the Department of Biology and the department's male and female teaching staff,

the Department of Biology held its annual festival entitled “Academic Activities of the Department of Biology”, under the supervision of the department's Scientific Activities Committee.

This year's activities took place in a lively scientific atmosphere with broad engagement from the department's teaching staff and students, reflecting the department's commitment to promoting applied academic activities and developing the students' research, scientific and creative skills.

Scientific Corners of the Festival

The festival included a number of scientific corners representing the most important subjects of the biology specialisation, including:

Fungi Corner

Bacteria and Microbiology Corner

Plants Corner

Histology Corner

Insects Corner

General Chemistry and Its Applications Corner

The department's students made distinguished contributions that showed a high level of creativity, precision and organisation, which helped present the festival in an honourable manner reflecting the department's efforts and its interest in the practical and applied aspect.

At the Close of the Festival

The Dean of the College of Education for Girls, Prof. Dr. Afrah Abd Maktouf, praised the efforts of the department's leadership, teaching staff and students in making the activities a success, affirming that such scientific activities contribute to enhancing the university environment, supporting students' skills, and consolidating the spirit of scientific research and teamwork within the College of Education for Girls – University of Shatrah.
